Very quirky piece of music that

Really like the mix of
instrumentation in the intro. The
drop back to bass, guitar and drums
behind the vocals works well with
the guitars and other instruments
(there's quite a bit happening)
dropping in intermittently. IMHO the
vocals may have been recorded just a
tad too loud. There's just a hint of
distortion when you really get
going. It might also be worth
looking at maybe dropping the vocals
back in the mix a bit. They are
pretty dominating and there's some
really nice things happening in the
backing track that are maybe getting
a little lost. But those are minot
quibbles. It's a great track. The
3:11 change into the ending could

compliment--he's among my favorites
as I mention on my page). This a
quite a complex composition, with
the contrapuntal harmonies
contributing both rhythmically and
melodically. I'm very impressed by
the painstaking structure. The chord
transitions are very nice, and the
bouncy keyboard and highly kinetic
percussion create an ironic
atmosphere appropriate to your
subject matter. A witty, ambitious,
provocative song. Very nicely done.
You might find this quote
interesting in connection with your
subject:
”Inasmuch as we have words to
describe medicine as a healing art,
but have none to describe it as a
method of social control or
political rule, we must first give
it a name. I propose that we call it
pharmacracy, from the Greek roots
pharmakon, for ‘medicine' or ‘drug,'
and kratein, for ‘to rule' or ‘to

by God or priests, and democracy is
rule by the people or the majority,
so pharmacracy is rule by medicine
or physicians”

I for one was not disappointed to
see the 80s disappear. But this
track really grabbed me. I think the
trouble with New Wave was that it
was overtaken by a mob of clones
more concerned with hairstyle than
music. So that what initially was
interesting and different became too
formulaic and plastic.
You guys avoid that.
This is really clever, and damn
catchy as all get out. The intro
chord changes are a bit "formulaic"
but you add enough external
variation for that not to be a
concern. Vocals seem a bit low in
the early stages for me. The kick is
overpowering them. Which is a pity
because the vocals are really good
and the phrasing of the lyrics has
its own rhythmic quality.

vocals in the bridge and the
